a+u (Architecture and Urbanism) Magazine is a bilingual architectural magazine based in Tokyo, Japan. Each issue is edited from a unique point of view to provide in-depth reporting on architecture to a global audience. The magazine’s December 2022 issue, “Engineering Art,” explores what’s possible when artists and engineers work together without the usual architectural constraints, like zoning and building regulations. My photograph was used to illustrate a feature on Kenneth Snelson’s Free Ride Home (1974) at Storm King Art Center in New York.
